This black and white photo has been signed by Bette Davis in black felt tip pen. This is a page from a book about film actresses. The page size is 9" x 12", the photo area is 7" x 9 1/4". The signature was obtained by collector Sig Goode. Sig had been a photographer for Modern Screen, Photoplay, MGM and others starting in the 1930's. He started collecting autographs then, and with his connections in the entertainment industry, became a major collector and dealer. Other than a small rip in the upper right white border, the photo is in very good shape. The photo here has a grainy moire effect. This is due to having it reduced to a small file size in order to display on this site. The actual photo is a very sharp and clear photograph.
