Bud Abbott and Lou Costello each signed the blank side of a 3"x5" card in pencil. The signatures were obtained by Stephanie Kolowski, who, along with her husband Stanley, started collectng in-person signatures in the '50s. Both cards had been trimmed to about 2 3/8" x 5" and taped in a scrapbook, where they remained for almost fifty years. I recently acquired a major portion of Stephanie and Stanley's collection, which contained signatures of many stars of music and entertainment. The signatures were obtained at a personal appearance in New Jersey, believed to be the Stanley Theater in Jersey City. The cards have adhesive residue from tape on the reverse, see inset photo. The Bud Abbott signature has some residue on the front also. A superb set of signatures from these comedy legends, will mat fantastically with a photo.
