These 3x5 file cards have been signed on the unlined side in pencil by Groucho, Harpo, Chico and Zeppo Marx. The signatures were obtained by veteran collector Stanley Kolowski of New York. Stanley started collecting as a youth in the 1940's. He would frequently travel out to the New Jersey theaters, such as the Stanley Warner in Jersey City, to see some of his heroes making personal appearances. The cards had been trimmed to about 2 1/2" x 5" and placed in the recipient's scrapbook for decades. All have adhesive residue on reverse, which shows through to the front in varying degrees on each card.
