This is a hardcover edition of "Nine Stories" signed on the first inside page by J D Salinger in blue ballpoint pen. There is ripping of the inside cover at the spine. The dust jacket is intact. Some soiling at outer page edges, otherwise clean inside. This had been for many years in the collection of John Morgan, who acquired most of the signed classic rock albums I offer. Salinger's signature was obtained in May 1988 with the assistance of his daughter Peggy, an acquaintance at that time of John Morgan. Salinger's signature is of course rare in any form, certainly more so on this, an early pressing of his second book. Not a stated first edition.
