Mary Wells Signed Twice Greatest Hits Motown Album
Product DescriptionMary Wells Greatest Hits album signed on both the front and back covers in blue ballpoint or biro pen. The signatures were obtained by Lydia Vargas in New York in 1965. This 1964 album highlights Mary's early Motown hits, for which she's mainly known. Most of these songs were written and produced by Smokey Robinson, including her biggest hit, "My Guy". Mary was the first real star that Motown Records produced. The record cover shows many signs of wear, some seam splitting, and peeling, mostly along upper reverse. The original recipient had written on the reverse in black felt tip, and a remnannt of her address sticker is on the upper right corner of the front cover. The vinyl shows numerous scratches which may affect play. The original Motown paper inner sleeve is included, ripped at one corner.
