This trumpet has been signed by Miles Davis in black Sharpie pen. It was signed at the Essex House Hotel in New York in May 1988. This is from the collection of veteran collector Pete Connolly. Arguably the most influential trumpet player ever, Miles' signature is rare in any form, particularly with full last name. To have him sign the instrument he is renowned for makes it iconic. I am not aware of another instrument signed by him. The trumpet shows many signs of wear, including tarnishing and discoloring.
